For Sale: FAULTY Vintage Marx Tin Litho Wind-Up Airplane Toy. Windup mechanism appears to be partially faulty. Wheel rotation is inconsistent: sometimes it spins as soon as you start winding, other times it won't move until you give it a few cranks then it spins very fast (demo video shows both scenarios).

I'm not sure the issue if it's the gears, the spring, or what. The 4 plastic propellers are broken to varying degrees. Metal has a good bit of surface wear with rust, scratches, bends, etc. Red and yellow pattern metal plane comes in 2 pieces that hook together.

Plane length 14" and wingspan is 18". Total weight 14oz (nearly one lb). Marx logo on top of cockpit with "Made in USA". Pilot and passenger window images on sides.
