RARE Vintage 1965 MARX Tin Doll House Mid Century Rooster Ranch & 50+ Furniture
Get ready for the Wow Factor...... From our personal collection of vintage toys, here's a rare contemporary 1-story dollhouse with a lift-off roof, first produced by Marx in the 1965. This doll house is quite large, with dimensions approximately 32" long x 10" tall x 16" wide base/platform, and includes 5 rooms and often referred to as the "Rooster doll house because of the rooster decoration on the chimney. This Mid Century design includes an entry hall, living room / dining room combination, eat-in kitchen, two bedrooms and a central hall bathroom.
All the rooms are fully furnished with a combination of the original snap-together soft plastic 1/2" scale furniture and the "Imagination" doll house 1/2" scale furniture; over 50 great pieces including the unique kitchen / dining area room divider, 6 lamps, fireplace accessories, a couple wall pictures, console TV, and much, much more. To complete the mix, we have 4 Marx family members and the family dog.
The exterior design simulates gray brick and natural looking wood siding, white stone chimney, with a gray color simulated shingle roof. Extra features include an opening plastic front door, 10 windows complete with their inside & outside casings/frames, 4 plastic scrubs, and 7 plastic flowers at the front of the house. It's rare is to find this doll house with these features intact. The only thing missing are the 2 front porch lanterns, and there's a bit of glue on the top of the front door.
Both the doll house and accessories are in gently used and played-with condition, and about as good as it gets.
