We were told it was original but others have told us its an excellent reproduction box. So to play it safe, we are listing it as a reproduction box.
If it's the original, consider this a bonus. The toy is in good / very good, preowned, cosmetic condition with the usual signs of age and use, not bad considering its over 80 years and works great. The box is in very good condition as well. Once wound, Charlie struts side to side, his mouth opens and closes and he moves. Wind up key is on the back of the toy. Very rare toy especially since it comes with its original box.Overall, a rare, Marx windup tin toy to add to your tin toy collection.
