GOOD EARLY PIECE WITH DIFFERENT FUSELAGE WINDOW CHARACTERS. Very attractive tin toy from Marx; has survived in super condition with minimal surface litho marks, scuffs, scratch and age signs (mostly to the old prop and inner surface tarnish, hardly an issue)! Colours are bright and lively...... No repaint or touch up.(please see images for plane's actual condition). Spring mechanism winds up nicely, stop/start lever function....... Prop spins fine, once you slide the starting lever. THESE ARE FREE WHEELING PLANES...... BUT PLACED ON A SMOOTH SURFACE AND WITH A CAREFUL LONG WINDING...... THE MECHANISM & PROP IS STILL SO WELL BALANCED, AND IS STRONG ENOUGH TO START TAXIING THE PLANE FORWARDS, IN A REALISTIC MANNER! After some 80-90 odd years, it still looks great on display. NOT A MODERN ITEM OR REPRODUCTION.
Please take a good close look at all the images i've added, as these form part of the description... If you need more pics etc...
