Vintage 1925 Louis Marx Ring-a-ling Circus Tin Litho Wind Up Toy-pat Pend/c-info

This recent find is from the Estate of a Hobby and Antiques Store Owner and is a 1925 Louis-Marx RING-A-LING CIRCUS Key Wind Toy marked PAT'S PEND'G. Measures approximately 8"L x 8"H x 8W.

Key Wind and On/Off switch work but wind does not catch to hold wind. Toy worked slowly after wound when the key was held and slowly turned while in the start position. Ring master moves in circle and raises arm and each animal moves when he gets to them (clown spins when tapped by trainer) unlike other animals clown free spins. The Antiques Store owner worked on toys and stored a piece in the box with this toy and it appears it may be the catch piece that holds onto the cog. This piece is shown (picture 12) and is included with the toy. Ring master pants on the front has some paint/litho wear on them but is harder to see - (picture 10 and 12).
