Vintage 1940's Marx Looping Rollover USAF Airplane Tin Litho Wind Up Toy
1940's Marx Midget Climbing. This vintage Marx Looping Rollover plane dates from the 1940's and is in working condition. Measuring approx 7 1/2" x 4 3/4" this tin lithograph wind up toy shows some minor wear, but is a nice looking example with bright graphics and colors. Everything is intact and working with no issues, although one of the wooden wheels appears to have been glued back together at one point. Usually found in camo, with the Marx logo, this one is a shiny gold color and is unmarked and may have been a private label made by Marx for another company.
A great little plane, rarely found in this condition, makes the so called loops with the help of a metal fork like mechanism on the bottom of the plane which raises and lowers the plane, causing it to rollover. A great looking example, that would make a great addition to any vintage toy plane collection. Item Condition: All items are preowned unless specified.
