Vintage Louis Marx JOY RIDER Tin Windup Toy College Boy with Bag Ca. Estate

Recently acquired from the estate of well known toy collector Nick Monios of Long Beach, California is this: Vintage Louis Marx Co. New York " JOY RIDER " Tin Windup Toy.

It is in sensational condition and has the original college boy driver with his bag as shown in our photos. Fantastic graphics on the hood, side panels, seat, trunk, radiator and on the inside floorboard is printed " Thanks for the Buggy Ride ".

The tin wheels are stamped The Ride'm Rough Tire Co. After winding this crazy car goes forward, reverses backwards, circles and rears up as the college boys head turns from side to side.

I tried to get some close-up pictures of the lithographing so you can compare to other examples offered on E-bay and the internet. We feel that this tin windup toy from the Monios estate is one of the nicest available anywhere and will make an outstanding addition for someone else's collection now.
