Vintage Marx 1960s Gold Mr. Mercury Battery Operated Tin Robot Toy

This is a vintage Gold Mr. Mercury made in Japan by Louis Marx Company in the early 1960s.

HE NEEDS WORK AND MAY HAVE ISSUES OTHER THAN I HAVE IDENTIFIED!!! He bends(bows) without a problem and this action works well. Its more like his legs shuffle back and forth but he doesnt want to go forward.

The wheels are old of course but the rubber seems to still be intact. He is missing the clear plastic window that covers the control room where the two operators sit. He is missing the bottom of the battery cover. His foam hand pads have long since deteriorated. His arms dont open and close.

A small piece has broken off the side of the top battery cover (see pics)! He is in used and not 100% working condition and his head is loose. He definitely has wear and tear and some rust. Please examine the pics very closely for his condition as they are a major part of the description.

Perhaps sooner but well see. Thats very odd in this electronic digital world where moneys are transferred between accounts in seconds.
