The innovative concept of this "jumping cowboy rider on horseback" was later applied to other toys and used by Marx for about 30 years. This toy predates the "Lone Ranger" and "Cowboy Rider" toys by more than 10 years, and these later version toys only utilized the vibratory movement of the horses rear legs, with the rider being stationary. In contrast, the RIDE'EM COWBOY toy has an up and down type movement of all four legs, causing it to gallop and jump at the same time. The rider is also raised and lowered while the lariat spins around. Structurally speaking, it may appear a little less elegant than the later vibrating toys, however the actions are quite realistic.
